Adsense - A Complete Step By Step Guide |
|
A COMPLETE GUIDE
: STEP BY STEP
|
|
Google adsense is quite simple to
start, as long as you are able to write and create a website or
blog. Once a website already created, one only has to incorporate
Google adsense codes which Google will provide upon signing up a
adsense account.
If you look over the net, you
will realize that many people will write and sell ebooks just to give you
the advice that I have given for free here and the same advice that Google
Adsense have given for free on their website. Plus the sentence are longer just to make
the ebook thinker! Google made a list of official Google sites that you could
visit and get the actual information about Google Adsense. Please visit

To start using
adsense, you need a website or blog. If you already have
one, just jump to Step Three
below to register yourself with Google and you will get all the
required information which include Getting
Start Demo,
Adsense Optimization Tips,
HTML Code Help,
Google Payment To You and etc.
Once you register, you could get advice from Google
about how to place the ads, how to match colors of the ads with
yours, tracking the ads performance, how to include the HTML
codes to your website codes and etc. Its simple and easy as long
as you are willing to spend some time to learn.
Below are
basic steps to start your adsense business model:
STEP ONE
| |
Start building your website
and launched it
- there are two ways to build your website topic which
are base on your interest or base on high paying
keywords ad topic.
First, website base on your interest will be a topic that you are interested and passion
about it. Example if you are a dog trainer, your website
could be about training dog. Since you love dog, you will have
more ideas to write about it, and the adsense ads will
appear accordingly base on your content. I highly
recommend you to start base on your passion since the
topic will not make you bored or give up quickly. Even
if you are building around your interest, try to find a
topic that have commercial value. The topic should have
market demand where people will like to advertise.
Always do a search engine search on your topic and see
if there are people advertising on that topic.
Second, is base on high paying keywords which
mean your website topic is base on certain keywords that
have lots of advertisers bidding in Google. This means the
Google Adsense that appears on your site will pay higher
commission when someone click on it. However, building a
website around a keywords is harder since the topic may
not be in your interest, Google may change their bidding
process and these keywords may stop paying high, and
finally no one really knows how high is certain keywords
will pay since Google never make this information
public. This method is not recommended but it is always
an option. |
|
STEP
TWO
| |
Start To Get Traffics
- after you have build your website and launched it a, now you need to start to
generate some traffics. Start to get some traffic,
and and slowly improve your site. It is recommended you
should at least have a website or blog that have 15
pages before your go to Step Three. Any shorter, there
is a possibility your application for a Google Adsense
Account might be rejected. If really do not have 15
pages, there is no harm trying to apply with Google. |
|
STEP
THREE
| |
Apply for a Google Adsense Account
Here
Before
you apply for adsense, double check your website to know
if it is ready for
Google Adsense account application.
Once
you have applied for an adsense account, you may have to
wait somewhere between 1 to 5 weeks before you could get
an approval. In the mean time, I suggest you improve
your site and try to generate more traffic to your
website. Once your account has been approved, you could
log on and start trying around with the features of
adsense program. You are also advice to read and know
more from
Google Reference
site. This site explain almost all the questions and
issues regarding adsense program. Anything that you feel
you need further explanation, please ask Google by email. |
|
STEP
FOUR
| |
Once Google sends you an email stating that your Google
Adsense account has been approved, now it is time to
start placing the adsense ads into your website or blog.
You may get advice how to start getting your adsense
codes from
Google Help. For
adsense ad samples, you may visit
Google Ad Format
to
see which form of ads that suits your site better. You
may change few features of the ads that will appear on
your site such as color of text, background, border,
title and URL.
Google
have given a general guide of places that generates high
click rates if adsense ads are placed. You may use this
picture below as a guide while placing your ads. Always
try and optimize your site from time to time to see
which ad's format and location works best for your site.
The below picture shows four different colors. The dark
orange represents places where visitors tend to click
more on adsense ads, and areas where color slowly
turning to light yellow and white are areas where
visitors tend to click lesser and lesser.

If you have a
blog, then this is a free way to use Google Adsense and generate
money. If you don't have one, you could register at
www.blogger.com
and get one for free. This blog site comes to you with build in
adsense. However, please register Google Adsense first before you
could start using Google Adsense on your blog. Follow above
Step Three to get register with
Google Adsense.
One thing
about
www.blogger.com
or any other free blog site is you don't have full
control of the places where you could place the Google Adsense
as you would have in your own website or blog. But it is a good
place to start.
If you are
serious about your online business, I would highly recommend
that you spend a little bit of money and get your self a paid
website. Many website
hosting companies will have function where you could host your
blog and website in the same account. One of the web hosting
that I would recommend is
axishost
where you could
host your website and blog. Remember, a paid website belongs to
you, and a free blog belongs to the site that offering the free
blog. |
If you are planning to use
Google Adsense as a way of generating money, then you need to
know that there is a possibility your adsense account will be
closed if you do certain mistakes. I also have made a list of
