Online survey is same as manual surveys that were and still are being done by many large companies. Do you still remember people offering your free stuff (such as mugs, pen, diaries and etc ) just for filling up certain information on a sheet of paper while you were shopping in the mall? Well, that is exactly being done here but by using the internet. The manual survey is very expensive, time consuming and the prospects that they survey are more random and less targeted. By online survey, you actually provide your profile to survey companies ( survey website list ) which are normally hired by large corporate companies to collect opinions concerning some products or services. Base on your profile, survey companies know what survey they could offer to you and required by the corporate companies. This is done because you would have to register yourself with the survey companies, and provide your profile which could include these information: age, sex, education level, marital status, hobbies, monthly income, work experience, locations, habits and etc. Please note that many more information could be requested by the survey companies to complete your profile with them. You need to give them as much information as possible to update their database.
